Overview:

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office in Santa Clara, CA, Phoenix, AZ or Raleigh, NC. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to one of these office locations.

This Senior Business Analyst position is responsible for complex analysis and execution within Enterprise Fraud Prevention. The individual in this role will serve as liaison between Enterprise Fraud and IT Risk Technology during all stages of the execution of the Fraud Prevention Roadmap. This position will have a focus on preventing external fraud schemes, payments fraud affecting large financial institutions and fraud risk mitigation technologies. The Senior Business Analyst will manage feature backlog and sprint goals, prioritize EPICS and User Stories in the alignment with the roadmap execution. This position will be responsible for adherence to Business Implementation and Model Risk Management policies.  Participates in special analytical projects and advanced technical reporting.

Responsibilities:

Process Improvement - Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, developing technology and emerging risks in the fraud risk management space and use this understanding to drive continuous improvement in fraud risk management. Set quarterly goals and participate in quarterly planning, manage delivery risks, dependencies, escalations.

Reporting & Data Analysis - Identify opportunities to integrate data, behavioral intelligence and decisioning across multiple fraud risk management platforms. Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. Develops process enhancements based on reporting.

Collaboration - Collaborates with the lines of business and technology partners to execute a product roadmap to meet core business objectives. Works closely with multiple Agile Teams during delivery of Enterprise Fraud Program. Communicate project updates to both senior leadership and end-users to obtain consensus and drive product adoption.

Project Management - Participate in the development, deployment and ongoing monitoring and management of fraud risk decision strategies across multiple technology platforms. Author technical feature requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for varying business use cases. Produce feature requirement artifacts, such as Business requirements, data flows, process flows, to support the business team. Produce and lead go-live release communications that inform a diverse set of partners and/or users of new features and/or changes. Monitor product performance, user & client feedback to drive better product decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, or modeling, or reporting

OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, or modeling, or reporting.

Licenses/Certification and Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Preferred Skills:

Banking/Finance industry experience directly related to Payments and Digital Banking Fraud.

Experience working within a large financial institution (LFI).

Working knowledge of Agile product development.

Excellent communication skills must be able to present to large audience.

Working knowledge of integrating API based technology with transaction monitoring and online banking systems.

Understanding of payment processing – Wires, ACH, checks, Real-Time Payments.

Must be comfortable with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Professional certifications in Fraud Examination (ACAMS and/or CFE) is a plus.

If hired in Californica, the base pay for this position is generally between $121,636 and $152,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
