Overview:

As the Business Intelligence Developer, you will communicate with the various business units across the organization to determine their reporting and analytic needs. You will participate in all phases of the development life cycle and responsible for gathering requirements, defining solutions, and ultimately developing a useful end product. Additionally above all, you will make certain that the reporting and analytic solutions meet business objectives and builds a high level of user trust and confidence in the BI group's knowledge of and concern for the users' business needs.

Responsibilities

Communicate with all lines of business to determine their needs and define the most appropriate BI solutions. Generally using ad-hoc SQL queries, SSRS reports, or Power BI dashboards.

Document requirements and build reports according to those requirements.

Designs and develops dashboards, scorecards, charts, pivot tables, reports, and reporting systems according to business requirements

Deliver ad-hoc reports under tight deadlines, as needed by the business.

Determines required Microsoft business intelligence components (SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, Excel…) to meet reporting requirements

Works with business analysts and other developers on design of technical solutions

Estimates technical effort required to deliver assigned tasks

Additional Duties, as assigned

Qualifications

5+ Years Work Experience in BI Development Role

Analyze complex problems and move them quickly to resolution

Self-Motivated: Ability to Work with Minimal Supervision

Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Fluency with Microsoft SQL is a must.

Build SSRS reports using parameters, conditional formatting, and grouping.

Create Power BI dashboards by joining multiple data tables.

Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions with an understanding of performance factors such as indexes, execution plans and statistics.

Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge

Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, (SSAS, PowerApps, and Microsoft Flow a plus)

Azure Synapse (preferred)

Ability to combine multiple datasets using PowerBI

Handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
