Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Team Leader Human Resources Support Services in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading support functions for a busy human resources department to ensure an excellent candidate and associate experience supporting scheduling, travel, onboarding, and administration support while ensuring compliance, reporting and analyzing processes and costs to improve support.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Leads, develops and engages support team to maintain an effective, versatile and highly capable team
Organizes, delegates and monitors work, jointly determines goals with associates
Provides ongoing feedback and evaluates performance
Ensures effective support for Human Resources (HR) processes, provide process improvement data analysis for data driven decision making
Ensures effective management of support costing
Develops, improves and implements strategy and scope for support related projects
Supports and project manages system improvements while partnering with other areas
Ensures responsive and proactive customer service and support for HR/other clients
Leads/provides a full range of administration support and troubleshoots/provides resolution of issues
Serves as advocate for process improvement with supporting data and champions these initiatives
Improves business support results and performance
Proactively identifies opportunities and designs creative business solutions which align with business strategy
Ensures compliance with HR regulations and Garmin HR policies while escalating complex issues when needed
Applies a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities by developing solutions in a timely manner
Works collaboratively and professionally with other Garmin associates and provides leadership on cross functional teams to achieve departmental and business goals
Leads reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem solving techniques
Identifies training needs of team and develops/provides necessary training to meet needs
Reviews audits and compliance reporting to ensure data accuracy
Documents and maintains process/procedures related to support
Role models Garmin’s Mission, Vision, Values & Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin’s image and culture
Ability to fill-in for team associates to cover absences
Interviews, hires, and trains associates; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field AND a minimum of 5 years work experience in Human Resources
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Demonstrates broad-based knowledge of Human Resources
Demonstrated technical aptitude including Microsoft programs and HR systems
Ability to mentor and train team members including compliance with HR related legislation, practices, programs and technologies, processes and procedures
Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrates a consistent focus on accountability and achievement of HR strategic and tactical goals with a proven track record in delivering high quality solutions on time and within the budget
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, work well with others, be flexible/able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to organize/prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, self-directed, and a driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
Demonstrates the ability to assess business situations and recommend suggestions for improving business results and team execution of HR strategies
Desired Qualifications
HR Certification (HRCI or SHRM accreditation)
Demonstrated experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, Travel software and online applications
