Job Overview & Responsibilities:
As an Inpatient/Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll use evidence-based techniques to transform patients’ lives. Your primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with a diagnosis of stroke, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and progressive neurological conditions. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients.
Clinic Information: PT Solutions Physical Therapy partners with Adventist Health and Rideout to provide quality occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology for patients with a vast range of medical diagnoses. Adventist Health and Rideout is a 209-bed inpatient, acute care, Level III trauma center that holds Joint Commission accreditation in Total Joint Replacement, Stroke, Bariatric Surgery, Chest Pain and Cardiac Cath Lab. As a clinician here you will work with an interdisciplinary team and evaluate, treat, and reassess patients in all areas of the hospital, including the intensive care unit, cardiac ICU, trauma, orthopedics, med-surg, bariatric, mother and baby, and the intermediate critical care unit. Adventist Health and Rideout is located in Greater Sacramento, and 2 hours from Reno, Lake Tahoe and the Bay area.
Your Responsibilities as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient to facilitate return home or to next level of care
Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs
Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient’s family, fellow clinicians, and other team members
Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff (i.e. physicians, case management, nurses, social workers, dietitians, etc.)
Qualifications & Pay Range:

Graduate of a master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
State Licensure in Speech Language Pathology
Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply
Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association

Estimated around $50-62 an hour
