Overview:

Traveling Dental Assistant - Orthodontics - 

Summary: The  Traveling Dental Assistant supports dental/orthodontics care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This position will mainly focus on taking x-rays/photos and maintaining orthodontic patient records. 

Pay Range: $16.00-$21.00  (based on experience)

This is a traveling position and applicants must be willing to go to our San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, Victorville, Glendora -

Good to know: we pay for millage and we pay  additional Shift Differential pay for assigned offices

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Assists the doctor in orthodontic procedures 

Takes x-rays 

Takes IO's 

Take Orthodontic records and photo's

Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth 

Instructs patients on oral hygiene 

Charts cavities and teeth with doctor 

Sterilizes instruments 

Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene 

Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor 

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:  

Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred 

Required Certificates or Licences:  

X-Ray certification  

BLS certification  

8-hour Infection Control certification 

2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
