The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, including daily reconciliations, general ledger entries, assisting with accounts payables & receivables, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Perform tasks as part of the monthly close process, including preparing or posting journal entries, monitoring sub-ledger interfaces, and ensuring the timely analysis, preparation, and submission of close-related deliverables
Processing invoicing, deposits and receivables
Manage accruals and prepaid expense reconciliations
Import and reconcile daily data
Perform Monthly Review’s for management and answer any related questions
Responsible for preparation and management of monthly sales tax returns
Responsible for the accuracy and preparation of expense coding, including vendor payables, credit cards and reimbursements
Assist the Controller with annual audit and other projects as needed
Performs other duties within the department or other areas as assigned

Reasoning: Possesses the ability to analyze and apply commonsense understanding to conduct detailed written or oral instructions
Detail-Oriented: Works well under pressure and prioritizes projects to meet deadlines and objectives

Qualifications:
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
Experience with and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required
Experience with Accounting Software (Quick Books Online a +)
Language Ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Certifications
Not required but preferred
