About the Role:

The Associate Recruiting Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for supporting all aspects of entry-level hiring of associates, including the summer program and campus outreach, while serving as a liaison to law schools and developing strategies and budgets, while developing relationships with, and serving as firm liaison to law schools, career services colleagues, student organizations, vendors, and other recruitment professionals. This role will be located in our Chicago office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Other key responsibilities include:

Supporting all phases of recruiting efforts, focusing on the summer program, campus outreach, and entry-level hiring

Coordinating logistics for the summer program, including planning orientation, programming, and events

Coordinating logistics for entry-level hiring of associates, including scheduling candidate interviews, candidate correspondence, offer letters, outreach, etc.

Assisting with outreach efforts at target law schools

Performing GPA calculations and maintaining candidate records

Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus

Display strong communication skills, both written and verbal

And have:

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in legal recruitment or professional services
