Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General support of shop and field projects for LNG and natural gas plants
Selects equipment, components, valves, flanges, and plans layout for assembly
Lays out, positions, aligns pipe, and helps to fabricate components
Bolts and clamps to secure in position for welders
Pressure testing of pipe used for installation at gas plants
Repairs assembled pipes by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling
Equipment operation (e.g. lulls, lifts, fork trucks, etc.)
Drive trucks and/or trailers locally and occasionally to jobs sites
Will be required to travel in support of construction projects in the field up to 30%
General labor support for shop and field operations
Qualifications:
Specific Knowledge & Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers
Experience in the LNG, natural gas, petrochemical, oil, or power system industry
Knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing softwar
General aptitude and knowledge of tools that support fabricate and construction efforts
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience in the piping industry and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
