Overview:

Team lead is responsible for driving the production team to achieve key performance indicators such as safety, quality, on time delivery, inventory and productivity. This position works closely with production supervisor to assist in performance management, time and attendance, training and development and all other production performance areas.

Responsibilities:

Plan, lead and monitor team to ensure all production plans are executed accordingly

Track start-times, dismissals and additional daily activities

Document and communicate all issues and discrepancies with direct supervisor

Manage and or escalate any behavioral issues

Set a high standard of product quality and ensure standard is consistently being met

Comply with various plant safety policies and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times designated areas on the floor

Perform according to 6S workplace organization plan for the area

Partner with Production Supervisor, Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain and Engineering on production, quality and delivery of products

Engage team members, actively participate and implement continuous improvement activities for the production line

Demonstrate a commitment to meet customers’ needs to provide superior customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Must have a GED or high school diploma

Effective communication style that allows for cross-functional teamwork and a “get-it-done” attitude

Willingness and flexibility to cross-train throughout entire production department

Able to work in exposure to temperatures according to the season

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Prior production/manufacturing experience is required

Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 49lbs.

ERP/MRP knowledge is required

Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organization skills

Must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English

Strong desire to grow and open to learn new skillsets

Strong interpersonal, organizational and decision making skills
