As a Service Technician at Griffis Residential, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall community and ensuring resident satisfaction. Working under the guidance of the Service Manager, you will perform technical and mechanical work to upkeep community buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
Perform necessary repairs to make apartments ready for move-in, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
Respond promptly to resident service requests and emergency repairs, ensuring a maximum response time of 30 minutes.
Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules and inspections.
Adhere to safety guidelines and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local codes and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of pool and spa maintenance, ensuring chemical balance and safety.
Conduct community inspections, reporting necessary repairs and ensuring the community's cleanliness and appearance.
Participate in litter pick-up, snow and ice removal, and other maintenance activities as required.
Collaborate with the Service Manager and Community Manager to meet financial goals and manage inventory effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or a related industry.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license and EPA Certification preferred (required within the first six months of employment).
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide quality customer service.
Proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with budget management.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and work independently.
Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 75 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
