Overview:

Manage all in bound new group LEAD flow for selected Centralized Hotels. Responsible for achieving or exceeding LEAD closure goals, transactional goals and requested activities, as set by the Corporate Director of Sales (Centralized). Accountable to follow up efficiently to close business, and maintaining relationships to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms, food, beverage, room rental and any other relevant fees. The ability to review, evaluate and execute all opportunities in partnership with the Centralized revenue team and in conjunction with the Rapid Response Lead Team. Responsibilities:

Partner with HEI Rapid Lead Response Team, Centralized Sales and Revenue Leadership, Enterprise and Centralized supporting resources to respond, propose and close business with new inbound group and event LEAD flow to meet or exceed LEAD response times, transactional goals, exceed revenue goals and exceed LEAD closure rate targets. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.

Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts.

Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.

Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers including the Hotel GM

Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.

Participate in fluid and ongoing LEAD evaluation, daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings under the direction of the Centralized Sales and Revenue Leadership Team.

Provide knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel.

Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

1+ years of past sales experience preferred.

Essential prior experience in the field of hospitality with specific experience in group and catering sales.

Must have experience with similar size and quality hotels.

Must possess a strong working knowledge of Sales systems including Delphi FDC and Marriott CI

Ability to understand, embrace and execute against HEI’s LEAD process and strategies.

Must be a self-starter accountable for maintaining or exceeding productivity, LEAD closure and Transactional goals

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sales Systems (Delphi and CI). Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers.

Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the relevant geographical markets

Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Protocols

Strong and demonstrated success obtaining Essential Business opportunities

Ability to manage multiple tasks including extensive transactional loads to meet expectations and targets

Ability to execute appropriate action plans.

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.

Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines within multiple properties.

Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
