This job opportunity is for an Engineering Technician IV in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment field, primarily located inHillsboro, Oregon. The position involves providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for semiconductor equipment. The role requires working in a pre-production environmentat the cutting edge of technology, and candidates will receive trainingin either Austin, Texasor Hillsboro, Oregonfor 1-3 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is maintained within factory standards, conducting repairs and replacements as necessary.

Customer Training: Provide instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to customers.

Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects.

Troubleshooting: Offer technical support, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities and reports.

Team Collaboration: Work with other technicians to resolve issues and service equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent training/experience (e.g., military or technical school).

Experience: At least 5-7 yearsin a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experiencein semiconductor equipment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Hands-on mechanical skills.

- Experience with electronic testing tools.

- Knowledge of Linuxis preferred.

- Additional experience in optical, lasers, robotics, or softwareis a plus.

- Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills, and customer-facing experience are important.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Shift Work: This is a night-shiftrole on a compressed work week with flexibility required.

- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 poundsand work in a cleanroom environment.

- Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required, with a valid driver's license needed.

NICE TO HAVE:

- Familiarity with Linuxand experience with optics, lasers, or robotics.

- Prior experience working in cleanroom environments.
