Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Location: Capenhurst

Are you ready to kickstart your career as a Quantity Surveyor? We are seeking a motivated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to assist with day-to-day surveying activities across a variety of contracts. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience while working closely with an expert team from project inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly valuation applications for Main Contract Valuation.
Calculate costs related to contract variations.
Prepare internal financial cost reconciliation reports using the Form 'S' template.
Liaise with key personnel in Purchasing and Contracts to manage cost expenditure and variations.
Submit draft final accounts for allocated projects.
Manage sub-contractor packages effectively.
Participate in quarterly work-in-progress meetings with the Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor and the Group Financial Director.
Visit sites for interim valuations and variations alongside the Quantity Surveyor.
Undertake general administrative and office-based tasks.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies.What We're Looking For:

Knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ContractMaster.
Basic knowledge of Aqua Group's Cyberqube costing system.Skills

Strong negotiation and numeracy skills.
Ability to present and defend arguments confidently and clearly.Behaviours & Attitudes

A positive attitude that aligns with company values.
Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
Self-awareness of strengths and areas for development.
