CNC Recruitment are seeking Multi Skilled Operators to join our client's team in Wincanton - a food production manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and ensuring the efficient production of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate cutting and packing equipment on a modern production line
* Follow strict health, safety, and food legality guidelines
* Maintain high standards of quality and production efficiency
* Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance
* Ensure compliance with internal and external audits
Skills, Behaviours, and Experience Required:
* Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
* Ability to perform mathematical calculations to track production outputs
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and specifications
* Problem-solving skills and inquisitive mindset
* Commitment to self-improvement and enhancing performance
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong work ethic, commitment, and flexibility in duties and hours
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment across multiple disciplines
* Ability to confidently escalate issues when needed
* Mechanically inclined, with an understanding of machinery operations
Essential Requirements:
* Ability to work a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday, alternating weekly between night, late, and early shifts
* Reliable independent transportation
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience in a food production environment or relevant food safety qualifications
* Experience in setting up, operating, and changing over production lines
* Experience working with critical control points (CCP)
* Experience in non-food production line settings
* Physically fit, capable of occasional heavy lifting, and comfortable with long periods of standing and navigating stairs
* Experience with Alpma and PFM machines
