Job Description:
Our client, a beautiful family-run residential care home in Sheringham, Norfolk, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join their team. This role is open to both full-time and part-time positions, working on a rota system. The successful candidate will start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist residents with daily personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and toileting.
* Food Preparation: Help with meal preparation and provide assistance with eating.
* Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and promote mental well-being.
* Activities: Support residents with hobbies and physical activities.
* Individual Care: Get to know residents and understand their individual needs and interests.
* Health Monitoring: Monitor residents’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight.
* Companionship: Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with residents.
* Medication: Assist with medication reminders.
Requirements:
* Compassionate and empathetic nature
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different situations
* Reliable and punctual
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
