Our client is a component supplier to the energy transition market and are aiding the evolution of key clients into the renewables space. The organisation in question has a long-standing history in the region. They have low attrition rates and the majority of those who work for the organisation have long service awards. This is a high-tech facility with the business employing around 200 staff.

The organisation is on an upslope supporting energy transition and they have strong demand for their products within emerging markets. The business operates on principles of fairness, a robust support network, trust and mutual respect. The company’s products are sold across the globe. Within this organisation you will be treated as an individual, you will hold autonomy with regards decision making and you will form part of a close nit team who are looking to drive the business forward.

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to work a day shift pattern (8am-4pm) on a permanent contract based in the Teesside area.

The successful applicant will be joining a company that has a world class manufacturing capability, and a skilled workforce with a long history and global recognition

THE ROLE

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be part of the team that turns ideas into products. You'll be involved in the development, testing, improvement and maintenance of complex manufacturing processes and infrastructure.
You’ll be expected to generate conceptual proposals, turning them into viable solutions considering factors such as safety, manufacture, cost and quality – to name but a few. Your challenge is to meet stringent safety and production requirements, whilst giving leading edge performance.
This is very much a hands-on role, being responsible for Electrical maintenance activities across the facility, you will utilise modern diagnostic technology to ensure that the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the ever-changing needs of the business.
Utilising PLC’s for fault finding and diagnostics (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
Maintaining plant-based equipment such as automated systems, burning machines, roller tables, conveyors, presses and welding machinery

THE PERSON

Either qualified to degree level or equivalent in an electrical discipline or a time served craftsperson holding qualifications to HND/HNC level with appropriate technical and leadership experience, you will have significant, demonstrable experience in a similar electrical role.
You will also be someone who works well in a fast, high paced, customer focused environment.
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills. Combining your technical and engineering knowledge, you'll know how to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
