MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN/ FITTER
Salary: £18/hour depending on experience plus site uplift
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week, permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing / Assembly Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you’ll be assembling, testing, and finishing high-quality machinery components for the bakery, confectionery, and chilled food sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the workshop supervisor to prepare machined and bought components for assembly

* Assemble multiple-part systems with precision

* Deburr machined components, grind, and polish welded parts

* Assist with final machine testing and product trials

What You’ll Need:

* Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment

* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and solid models

* Familiarity with rotating machinery assembly, power transmission systems (belts, pulleys), linear rails, ball screws, and lead screws

* Knowledge of pumps and motor/gearbox setup

* Experience assembling close-fitting, tight-tolerance components and conveyor systems

* Ideally, you’ll have an NVQ Level 3 or HNC in engineering or equivalent experience
