A Leading Investment Bank is seeking a Business Analyst with a proven track record of delivering regulatory change within Markets by leading or participating in significant, multi-asset class and multi-jurisdictional initiatives within a Markets/Front Office environment.
About the Role:
As a Regulatory Control Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in implementing and refining new controls, investigating exceptions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge control systems and contribute to the organization's risk management strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Master new control systems and processes
- Review, investigate, and categorize control exceptions
- Identify thematic issues and opportunities for control refinement
- Assist in improving desktop procedures based on operational experience
- Prepare metrics and commentary on control outcomes
- Minute meetings and document disposition rationales
- Present control disposition data to leadership
- Support governance metrics and deck preparation
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in regulatory change within Markets (eg, Reg W, Reg K, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFID II/R, UMR)
- Proven track record in running 1LOD controls with investigative components
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- SQL querying skills for data extraction and analysis
- Excellent analytical capabilities, especially with large datasets
Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities
- Advanced data analysis skills (Excel-based)
- Experience in designing and implementing business processes
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
