We are seeking an experienced Security Cleared DevOps Engineer to join the API Exchange team within a global consultancy delivering a high-impact programme for the public sector. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a critical project, working with cutting-edge technologies and a talented team to enable seamless product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps Toolchain Integration: Transform technical requirements into a robust and effective DevOps toolchain to enable smooth product delivery.
  • Deployment Strategies: Design and implement scalable, repeatable, and highly available deployment strategies to ensure the seamless release of products.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and ensuring the team delivers at a high standard.
  • Problem Solving: Use your deep technical knowledge to provide support to delivery teams, resolving complex technical issues as they arise.
  • Project Planning: Lead the planning and design of large groups of stories, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance: Ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools and pipelines are kept up to date, following evergreen strategies.
  • Engineering Standards: Adhere to and implement engineering guidelines as part of the onboarding process, ensuring all work aligns with the consultancy's high standards.

Ideal Candidate:

  • DevOps Expertise: Proven experience in delivering and integrating software to form a complete DevOps toolchain, with strong technical skills in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment strategies.
  • Technical Leadership: Strong ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and building team capability.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to tackle and resolve complex technical problems, supporting delivery teams in overcoming challenges.
  • CI/CD Management: Experience in ensuring CI/CD pipelines are up-to-date and evergreen, following best practices for automation and integration.
  • Public Sector Experience: Prior experience working on public sector projects is advantageous, but not essential.
  • API Knowledge: Familiarity with API exchanges and their role in modern product delivery systems.
