Job Title: Maintenance Plumber
Location: City of London
Position: Temporary Contract
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm.
Salary: Contract - £29.63 per hour via an Umbrella Company or 12-month fixed term contract - £41,360 per annum plus unsocial hour's payment of £7,623 per annum

We are seeking Facilities Management Maintenance Plumbers for an exciting new opportunity to work for group of public spaces within the City of London.

Key Responsibilities:
 Plumbing Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections of plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, sinks, and water heaters, to identify and address issues promptly.
 Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing problems, such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures, ensuring quick resolution to minimize disruptions.
 Emergency Response: Respond to plumbing emergencies, such as burst pipes or sewage backups, in a timely manner to mitigate damage and ensure the safety of building occupants.
 Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of plumbing infrastructure and identify potential issues, recommending preventive measures.
 Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance activities, including parts used and work performed.
 Coordination: Collaborate with other facilities management team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure coordinated efforts for building maintenance and repair projects.
 Compliance: Ensure all plumbing work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
 Customer Service: Interact professionally with building occupants and address their plumbing-related inquiries and concerns in a courteous and helpful manner.
 Safety: Adhere to established safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), during all plumbing tasks to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications/Technical skills:
 Minimum of 5 years' experience with facilities management.
 Level 2 NVQ in plumbing and heating qualification: e.g. City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing and Heating
 Previous relevant experience of working with plumbing and heating within a large complex facility.
 The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 plumbing qualification.
 Experience using Word, Excel etc.
 Able to communicate both orally and in writing.
 Experience of large low temperature hot water systems, electro-pneumatic control systems and air conditioning/refrigeration & BEMS/Control systems is essential.
 Extensive and broad knowledge of large building services installations.
 Good communication skills.
 Hands on operational experience in electro-mechanical HVACS installations in large commercial buildings.
