We have exciting opportunities for talented and experienced Glove Box Designers with nuclear experience to join our team.

In these roles, you will be responsible for designing and creating glove boxes for use in nuclear facilities. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the glove boxes meet all safety and regulatory requirements, while also maximizing efficiency and usability for personnel working within the facility.

We are looking at Principal, Senior, Designer and Engineer levels.

Security Clearance will be required and Candidates should be eligible for clearance, if not already held. This includes British Citizenship and not to have worked outside the UK for the past 5 years.

ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop glove boxes for use in nuclear facilities, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with engineers, and other team members to understand requirements and specifications for each project.

Conduct research and analysis to stay current on industry trends and advancements in glove box technology.

Create detailed drawings and specifications for glove box designs, incorporating feedback and input from team members.

Work closely with manufacturers to ensure that glove boxes are built to exact specifications and meet all quality standards.

Perform regular inspections and tests on glove boxes to ensure proper functioning and safety.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns related to glove box design or functionality.

Mentor inexperienced team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience designing glove boxes for nuclear facilities.

Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for nuclear facilities.

Alpha containment experience.

Strong technical skills and proficiency with design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
