The potential income for this role is an hourly rate of $19- $24 per hour. The pay rate for each individual is based on tenure in the field of veterinary medicine, and certification.

Responsibilities:

Veterinary Technicians at Lakeland Animal Clinic are responsible for:

Patient Care

Venipuncture

IV catheter placement

Obtaining radiographs

Running in-house diagnostic testing

IV fluid therapy

Surgical assisting and post-operative care

Client education and communication

Safe, low-stress pet restraint

Maintaining hospital cleanliness as part of a team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for our Veterinary Technician role must:

have a minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience; technicians with certification are preferred

have the ability to adhere to the attendance policy

have any allergies to animals controllable through medication

be able to lift 40 pounds

have visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directions

have the ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone

have fine motor skills adequate for nursing skills such as phlebotomy and utilizing hospital equipment
