Account Representative

Since 1957 we have provided our customers with solution for warehouse, distribution, transportation, packing and crating and air freight services. We have been growing significantly over the last few years and continue to grow at a rapid pace.

We are a leading export packaging and warehousing company looking for an Account Representative to manage assigned customer accounts. You will address customer concerns and handle the day-to-day administration of accounts to include billing, inventory, and data entry. We expect Account Representatives to be helpful and dedicated to our customers and coworkers. This role may often be challenging so you should be able to remain calm and polite in tough situations. If you have experience in customer service, we would like to meet you. Your goal will be to foster long-term relationships with our customers and help grow our business.

Responsibilities

·         Works to accomplish the Givens Mission every day through a dedication to the Givens Values of Integrity, Family, and Drive.

·         Be a point of contact providing excellent customer service coordinating inbound & outbound carriers, processing customer orders and sending daily assigned customer activity reports, discrepancy reports, project reports and bill of lading request.

·         Maintains Shipping documentation including uploading BCR, documenting and processing staging errors, combining shipments, prepping bill of ladings, ship confirm bill of ladings and monitoring shipments for confirmation errors.

·         Maintains receiving documentation including downloading receiving data to BCR, prepare receiving documents, uploading receiving data from BCR, process upload and batch conformation. Document errors for verification and process errors online.

·         Maintains inventory documentation including uploading relocation data from BCR, preparing Cycle Count Reports, correcting inventory discrepancies, documenting and providing Cycle Count Activity Reports to manager.

·         Follow up regularly to ensure client satisfaction through regular communication.

·         Respond promptly to customer queries and complaints to find solutions.

·         Pass on issues to the manager when needed.

·         Take the initiative to learn and master our warehousing management system.

Proven experience in customer service roles

Proficient in Office, particularly Excel

skills

Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability

Attention to accuracy and quality

Goal-driven with ability to work under pressure

Good problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail

Experience in transportation, warehousing and/or the logistics industries is a plus.

Three plus years of clerical type experience preferred, minimum 2 years.

Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).

Knowledge of the NAVIS port system a Big Plus!

Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.

Must be organized with the ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Candidate must be dependable.

Duties will be varied and include:

Work with customers on import and export shipments

Communicate with the customer throughout the job process via phone and email

Coordinate between the customer, warehouse operations, transportation providers, port authorities etc.

Preparation of customized, job specific receiving reports, job orders, packing lists, bills of lading and invoicing.

This position is within a small business environment with opportunity for growth. Competitive compensation depends on experience.

Logistics: 2 years (Preferred)

Customer Service: 3 years (Preferred)
