Hours:
EMT-B 8-hour shifts, 3 days/week, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
EMT-P 12-hour shifts, 2 days/week, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
Status: Part time, 24 hours/week

Technician, Hospital at Home
Seeking flexible team members who will be an integral part of shaping and developing our innovative Hospital at Home program. Ideal candidates for this role will have EMT-P or EMT-B credentials.
The Tech provides patient care within their defined scope of practice that includes patient care, monitoring and observation, in-home patient assessments, clinical and social screenings, clinical interventions, patient education, and participates in telehealth visits from the patient's home while connecting with the physician or virtual command center via Telehealth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works in collaboration with Registered Nurses and other members of the care team in providing direct in-home patient care activities including clinical assessment, obtaining vital signs, assisting patients in need of intervention, and participates in telehealth visits from the patient's home while connecting with the physician or virtual command center via Telehealth.
Coordinates equipment and supplies.
Documents appropriate assessment, interventions, and other pertinent patient information in a timely manner
Identifies, reports, provides care and documents patient problems in collaboration with the physicians, nurses, and the technical staff.
Demonstrates the ability to transport patients safely, utilizing transport devices appropriately.
Assists physicians, nurses, and technical staff in providing appropriate patient education including the use of appropriate educational materials.
The Tech interacts with patients, families, nursing, and a variety of interdisciplinary personnel and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, a willingness for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, and clinical proficiency.
Skills that are not approved for this position regardless if individual certification or licensure present:
Medication administration including code drugs
Intubation
Tracheal suctioning
Performs other duties as assigned
