About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Employee Relations Manager to join our client's team on a part time contract basis. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in employee relations and a keen focus on policy writing. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining their workplace policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legal requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development: Lead the creation, review, and implementation of comprehensive workplace policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing expert advice and support to management and staff.
- Compliance: Ensure all employee relations practices comply with current employment laws and regulations.
- Conflict Resolution: Facilitate the resolution of employee grievances and disputes in a fair and effective manner.
- Communication: Promote open communication and a positive workplace culture through regular updates and training sessions.
- Onsite Presence: Spend one day a week onsite in Watford to engage with staff and address any immediate concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Employee Relations Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in policy writing and development.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part time role.
- Flexibility to work 3-4 days a week, with one day onsite in Watford.
