Overview:
Front Desk Receptionist: This position is responsible for the professional and efficient managing of visitors, customers, telephone calls and messages, as well as a variety of clerical duties that support the administrative offices of JFCS.
Exceptional attendance is mandatory in this position, as continuous front desk and phone coverage is critical to daily operations. This individual will be able to communicate effectively with persons from a variety of backgrounds & cultures and/or persons who may be experiencing distress.
Responsibilities:
Answers, screens, and directs administrative telephone calls in an efficient and professional manner. Takes and relays messages as needed.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Provides clerical assistance to all Administrative Departments to include: copying materials, assembling packets, labeling, preparing incoming and outgoing mail, and signing for deliveries and notifying recipients.
Welcomes visitors and contacts employee to inform them of visitor arrival. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; and issuing visitor badges.
Maintains conference/board room schedule.
Provides efficient response to customer and public inquiries.
Assures reception area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
Qualifications:
Verifiable High school diploma or equivalent accredited GED
Two (2) years administrative/clerical experience.
Ability to work a multi-line phone system.
Proactive solution oriented thinker.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Experience in effectively handling multiple projects requiring exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Ability to use a computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Bilingual Spanish-English preferred
