The position: The Property Accounting Associate-Support contributes to the success of the organization through management of administrative tasks that support the account receivable and accounts payable processes within the Central Services department.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing support to an assigned portfolio of properties across a variety of AP, AR, and administrative tasks.
Leverages a customer support ticketing system to resolve internal and external support inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring a high-level of customer satisfaction.
Assists with monitoring and processing vendor refunds to all different entities we manage.
In Charge of reversing or reapplying resident receipts in our Yardi platform as needed.
Decisions the acceptance or rejection of resident payments in ClickPay queue based on company guidelines and criteria.
Mails back or deposits resident payment items received from ClickPay and other miscellaneous payments.
Corresponds with internal teams to resolve customer/vendor challenges and proactively identify opportunities to advance systems and processes.
Assists in developing analytics to track and monitor performance.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in property management and/or AP and AR
Experience with Yardi preferred, with OneSite/RealPage a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week.
The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
