Job Description:

Seneca Specialty Package is looking for a dedicated Underwriting Assistant, responsible for the support of existing policies as well as the issuance of new policies. All work must be performed within departmental standards. 

The Underwriting Assistant supports various underwriting processes, including communication with our producers, as well as other departments within the company to meet service needs.  Additionally, the Underwriting Assistant must be able to work side by side with the Underwriters to maintain a common goal of growth and profitability.

What you will do for C&F:

Be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Detail oriented.

Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, ImageRight and WINS is a plus.

Issue & book policies in WINS within department standards.

Issue & book various endorsements in WINS.

Order inspections and send out recommendation letters to producers.

Follow up with brokers for outstanding requirements.

Managing tasks that are assigned in a date/time order.

Issue notices (Non-Renewal, Cancellations, Reinstatements and Conditional Renewal Notices in accordance with underwriting and statutory laws).

Order Loss Runs when requested.

Process home office mail.

What you will bring to C&F:

Minimum of 2 years operations experience in a professional environment.

Bachelor’s degree.

Insurance designation such as AINS or equivalent either completed or in-process.

Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Proficient in various Microsoft software applications, such as Excel and Word.

Position Location:

The position is located in our Woodland Hills, CA or our Centennial, CO office.

To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
