Overview:

Kimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Structures team. 

Responsibilities:

Design and analyze structures, focusing on new buildings, rehabilitation and repair of existing buildings, PV systems, and site structures.

Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective structural solutions that meet project requirements.

Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for modifications, repairs, and retrofits.

Perform structural analysis and modeling using advanced software tools to evaluate the behavior and performance of structures under various load conditions.

Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and standards related to vertical structures, and incorporate them into project designs.

Qualifications:

8+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm   

Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering

"Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)

Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as Risa, RAM, or similar.

Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to clients.

Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred 

Salary Range: $125,000 to $160,000
