Project Manager, VRF Installation Specialist
Reports to: Sales Manager

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced an experienced VRF Installation Specialist with project management experience. The Project Manager, VRF Installation Specialist will be responsible for preemptive project review, internal and external training, as well as the basic execution and management of VRF projects. The candidate must have experience in a commercial HVAC environment, excellent communication and teaming skills. Position requires a high level of correspondence with sales team, customers, vendors, mechanics and the operations team.
Responsibilities:
Role and Responsibilities:
High attention to detail.
Work with the sales team to review equipment selections, line sizing, controls on VRF projects.
Meet with contractor prior to equipment installation to discuss proper installation.
Walk VRF projects during installation to inspect and validate installation.
Verify proper installation and piping prior to scheduling TAS Service for start-up.
Provide technical assistance to TAS Service Technicians during start-up and warranty.
Communicate jobsite deficiencies to the installing contractor, while keeping TAS Sales informed, and follow-up on those deficiencies with the contractor to ensure that the system has been properly installed.
Issue intelligent and perceptive RFIs as needed.
Maintain relationships with clients.
Attend pre-bid walk-thru’s as needed.
Participate in turnover meetings and work with the operations and service managers to define scope and material.
Qualifications:
The Required Profile
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the construction field in similar and/or related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience in commercial HVAC service.
Previous experience in HVAC Mechanical Service
Exceptional communication skills
Strong math and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret equipment submittal data and Operations and Maintenance manuals
Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record
Electrical or temperature control experience required and EPA Certification Preferred (i.e. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.)
Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing/working at elevated heights, etc.
Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites on a daily basis.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
