Project Manager - AAON Specialist

Reports to: Regional Service Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technician/Project Manager with an advanced skill level and specialized product knowledge. This Project Manager role will be dedicated to AAON support. This is a full‐time opportunity for an energetic go‐getter. An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and work well with others. Position requires a high level of correspondence with Salesmen, Project Managers, Service Coordinators and customers.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Communicate AAON Service Bulletins internally to the Service and Equipment Sales teams

Develop and maintain AAON standard operating procedures and best practices

Assist Sales and Service with identification of problem jobs and implements corrective action

Assist with AAON warranty recovery for large warranty projects as directed

Conduct AAON Owner, Contractor and Technician Training

Attend AAON plant service training

Maintain relationships with key AAON Service and Warranty personnel

Quarterly visits with AAON key Service personnel at Tulsa and Longview plants

Assist and train service team on VCCX2 Set Point sheets required for start‐up

Provide field trouble shooting assistance as needed

Conduct field inspections of AAON split system installations and other complicated systems

Provide Project Management for large AAON installations as directed

Review AAON submittals

Assist with hand‐off meetings between Equipment Sales and Service teams

Works in a team‐based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction

Submits required paperwork in a timely manner

Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times

Performs other duties as assigned

Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required

Qualifications:

The Required Profile

10‐15 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in commercial HVAC environment

Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record

Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)

Electrical or temperature control experience required and EPA Certification Preferred (i.e. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.)

Experienced and advanced knowledge, skills and abilities with AAON

Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing/working at elevated heights, etc.

Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Other Skills & Abilities

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‐on‐one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Environmental Requirements

Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites on a daily basis.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
