Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively within the Northside Hospital System and with other departments to develop, implement, and evaluate unit specific and hospital- wide surveillance programs for the purpose of detecting and preventing possible sources of infection and infectious outbreak. Assists with establishing the standard of care in infection prevention practice to protect patients and employees. Serves as a resource to all hospital departments, medical staff and community as it relates to preventing disease transmission in all ages (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (AD), MPH, BS in Medical Technology or other healthcare related field.
Certification in infection control (CIC) thru the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) within 3 years of employment.
Work Hours::
7:30AM-4PM
