Star Meadow Animal Clinic is on the hunt for a highly motivated Veterinary Technician!
We are seeking a passionate and kind individual who would like to nurture the human and animal bond to ensure our pets live happy and healthy lives. Star Meadow Animal Clinic is a well-established, two-doctor, small animal practice committed to providing unparalleled patient care. We are in need of an experienced Veterinary Technician to add to our team of caring professionals. We work together as a team and as a family. We are looking for a Veterinary technician who will bring creative ideas, critical thinking abilities, enthusiasm, and a positive outlook for growth and learning. We strive to be the best every day.
If you are a Veterinary Technician who is looking for consistency in their schedule and excellent benefits, then look no further! Our benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k matching. We also offer a 529 savings plan, a flexible spending account, a tuition support program, and a referral bonus. All employees earn PTO sick time and receive discounted pet care for their own animals. There are many professional development opportunities, including state license VTNE exam fee reimbursement and continuing education allowance. The position to be filled is comparable to the role of a family practice medical nurse; our clientele is our extended family. You will interact with and educate clients and patients and obtain history, vitals, blood, and other laboratory samples. Perform radiographs, prepare and run laboratory tests, and provide treatments such as laser therapy, wound care, urgent care, sick care, and routine tasks such as ear cleanings and pedicures.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a positive and outgoing attitude, computer proficiency, telephone etiquette, and be able to multi-task. At Star Meadow Animal Clinic, we work together as a team to prepare for the day and clean and close up in the evening; this includes general cleaning and restocking.
