Overview:
As a dishwasher/porter you will be tasked with replenishing items, helping to unload supplies from deliveries and preparing cooking sites. An important function in this role is ensuring a kitchen’s compliance with all food procedures and safety regulations. Success in this position will be exhibited by prioritizing tasks that significantly impact customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
● Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans and place in proper storage area
● Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
● Clean garbage cans with water and bleach
● Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
● Supports other staff members when needed
● Stows away and polishes dishes, cutlery and cookware
● Maintains chemical levels and temperatures to comply with safety measures
● Transfers equipment and supplies from storage to work area
Qualifications:
● Ability to execute assigned tasks with precision and speed
● Effective communication skills
● Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
● Prior work experience in kitchen or cleaning roles
● Excellent time management skills
● Able to stand and move for long periods
