Job Overview:

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

This position is based at Nikkiso ACD located in Santa Ana, CA.

Responsibilities:

Experience performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair

Plumbing knowledge, Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures, clogs, valve changes, RO systems, and small projects.

Experience with electrical trouble shooting. Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs, change lamps, switches, and other small electrical projects.

Maintain HVAC changing air filters and cleaning vents.

Preventative measure to building to reduce risk of future problems such as small sealing roof, floor, and walls. Repaint faded paint areas, replace old signs and markers.

Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

Daily safety checks and site inspections.

Emptying trash cans on occasion.

Monitors work performed by contractors, contacts external contractors and trades people to obtain quotes and arranges for major repairs and maintenance work.

Completes and maintains related records such as maintenance logs

Keep restrooms orderly. Move furniture as needed.

Preventative maintenance as advised by Manager / Director.

Diagnose and repair various pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components and systems.

Execute installation and repair of CNC lathes, Press Brakes, Shears, Paint equipment, Forklifts, material handling equipment, overhead cranes, and other manufacturing equipment

Knowledge of repair and maintenance of welding equipment, electric motors, and pressure systems.

Organize work area and maintain spare parts according to 5S standard practices.

Provide support to manufacturing group by performing non-routine service requests to assure maximum equipment uptime.

Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and various hand tools.

Follow safety policies and practices established by our Manufacturing safety and maintenance program including by not limited to Personal Protection (PPE) Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Electrical Safety, and maintenance safety guidelines. Advise management of any potential risk to equipment downtime and provides a corrective and countermeasure plan.

Assist with special projects as needed.

Weekly / Daily inspections on buildings and grounds.

Willing to adhere to all facility safety and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED required.

3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or similar environment

Hands-on mechanical aptitude and proficiency diagnosing and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and fluid systems/equipment.

Ability to read and understand schematics and various assembly drawings.

Experience working on various material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead and jib cranes.

Experience operating forklifts

Strong computer skills to document completed work and PMs in CMMS system. Email and internet as well.

Light fabrication skills (welding and machining) preferred.

Familiarity with disassembly and assembly of hydraulic cylinders, valves, and hoses.

Ability to work on-site during operational hours with occasional overtime as required.
