Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring a Senior Tax Manager to join our team! We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Manager to support our tax department. This role will primarily focus on ensuring compliance with ASC 740, managing the preparation and review of tax provisions, and supporting tax reporting activities. Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and review of tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations, in accordance with ASC 740. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of tax-related matters.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper tax accounting in financial statements, including the reconciliation of tax accounts and preparation of necessary disclosures and analytics.

Assist in managing tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring that all documentation and responses are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.

Manage the audit relationship with the external financial statement auditor as it relates to tax accounting and disclosure matters, providing necessary interpretation, documentation and support

Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly related to ASC 740, and provide guidance on how these changes may impact the company.

Ensure that strong internal controls (SOX) are in place for all tax accounting and compliance processes. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Support the Tax Accounting and Compliance Director and work closely with other members of the tax team to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all tax-related functions.

Identify opportunities to streamline tax accounting and compliance processes, leveraging technology and automation where possible to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree in Taxation or related field is a plus.

CPA or equivalent certification required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting with a strong focus on ASC 740 compliance.

Strong proficiency in tax software and technology platforms (e.g., Corptax, OneSource Tax Provision, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar).

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools is highly desirable.

Proficient with MS Office 365

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate across departments.

This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
