We are currently looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established contractor, based in Letchworth Garden City, working on fit-out / refurbishment projects, mainly in the retail sector based across the UK. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for coordinating a range of works across multiple sites-based form head office with site visits across the UK whilst reporting back to the Associate Director.

It is envisaged that the successful Contracts Manager will have a retail / fit-out background, will be based within commuting distance of Letchworth and happy to travel for work.

Our client is looking for someone to start ASAP.

Contracts Manager Job Overview - Some Selected Duties Only

Ensure that processes are in place to allow department operatives to efficiently perform their individual duties to a satisfactory standard.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners, ensuring effective communication.
Ensure all tender enquiries are handled promptly, and deadlines are consistently met.
Manage and deliver client expectations carefully, ensuring their satisfaction.
Regularly gather feedback from clients and take appropriate action to address any concerns raised.
Oversee operations and workforce management on assigned projects, including the selection and coordination of subcontractors.
Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards, as well as industry policies and best practices.
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including adherence to current legislation.
Hold regular review meetings with the shopfitting and building services department.

Contracts Manager Job Requirements

Prior experience in a similar role is essential
Must have a knowledge of retail / fit-out works
Local to Letchworth, Garden city and willing to travel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
SSSTS / SMSTS
UK driving license
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
Strong IT skills
