Job Details

* Role: Housing Services Manager (Temp to Perm – 6 months temp, then Perm)

* Reports To: TMO Manager

* Salary Range: £38,000- £41,000 Per Annum + benefits (Negotiable depending on experience)

* Hours of Work:

* Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

* Hybrid working: 3 days on-site, 2 days from home

* Flexible start time for meeting days

* TOIL for training events

Purpose of Job

* Ensure high-quality housing management services for all residents of Lordship South Estate.

* Comply with the Management Agreement with Hackney Council.

* Manage employees and contractors, supporting the management committee in governance functions.

Principal Accountabilities

General and Supervisory

1. Liaise with the council and external organisations to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and identify training needs.

2. Maintain effective office management systems and ensure the office is open to customers as agreed.

3. Provide effective advice to residents on housing and related matters.

4. Collaborate with the committee chair on business planning and implementation.

5. Manage TMO data and housing management files in line with GDPR requirements.

6. Attend monthly evening meetings.

7. Develop inclusive resident engagement initiatives.

Finance

1. Monitor budgets and provide financial reports as required.

Housing Management

1. Ensure quality housing services, including dealing with anti-social behaviour and maintaining estate cleanliness.

2. Manage contractors for responsive repairs and maintenance.

3. Conduct estate inspections.

4. Ensure compliance with statutory legislation for tenant and leaseholder services.

5. Manage the letting and sign-up of void properties.

6. Provide regular reports to the management committee.

Health and Safety

1. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

2. Conduct and review risk assessments for employee activities.

3. Take action and compile reports based on fire risk assessments.
