I'm looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client in Kings Lynn on a permanent basis. You will need experience in designing automation machinery to be considered for this role.
Job Responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer:
Design new equipment to meet process specifications.
Designing automation machinery
Model parts, and assemblies, and create detailed drawings using SolidWorks 3D software.
Conduct 3D scanning of existing sites and equipment.
Generate weldment cut lists, bills of materials, and assembly/disassembly diagrams.
Enhance existing equipment and fabrication/assembly processes.
Ensure equipment compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with the Senior Design Engineer to maintain close coordination between the Design Office, Sales, Manufacturing, and Site Operations for seamless project execution.
Apply known concepts and principles proactively and innovatively, utilising a strong understanding of current directives and safety regulations to guide design choices for specific processes.
Offer advice and guidance on engineering problem-solving.
Production of operating and maintenance documentation for equipment.In return, our client is offering the successful Mechanical Design Engineer the following:
