Payroll Manager / Buxton Region / Salary @£35-40k /Full or Part-time considered
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to lead the payroll function for a thriving FMCG supplier in the beautiful Peak District.
Supported by a Payroll Administrator, this individual will ensure the smooth and timely processing of the payroll for this SME. Having recently undergone systems change and process improvement, the incoming team member will have the opportunity to ensure that the transition is fully embedded and up to speed.
There is the option to discuss reduced hours for this role if desired.
Duties will include:
Payroll processing - both weekly and monthly - to ensure payment deadlines are met for under 500 staff
Line-manage payroll administration
Ensure accurate record keeping, including updating new starters and leavers
Oversee ongoing improvement and development to systems and processes
Deal with statutory payments - SMP, SSP etc. and 3rd party deductions
Provide payroll information to HMRC
Keep up to date with Payroll legislation
Prepare payroll journals and reports as required
Manage auto-enrolment pension scheme
Maintain excellent levels of payroll service to colleagues by ensuring queries are effectively addressed and resolved If you are an experienced Payroll Manager or Payroll Specialist who is keen to step into a supervisory role, this is a fantastic opportunity! You should be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and will thrive on ensuring a 'right -first-time' approach for the payroll function. Leading the team, you'll have excellent legislation knowledge and a eye for process improvement.
