The Recpool Group are working with a market leading umbrella payroll business who are looking to recruit an experienced senior payroll processing specialist to work from their newly opened offices in Liverpool city centre.

Operating as a key component within the business by providing full payroll support to contractor and limited company workers within the UK recruitment sector, this rare but exciting opportunity is available due to significant success and growth pushing my client to expanded their operation into Liverpool and build a team of likeminded professionals to continue this momentum.

Committed to promoting a healthy work/life balance for their employees my client can also offer hybrid working if preferred, which would be discussed during interview stage.

Open to matching the successful applicants accounts and payroll experience with an experience related competitive salary my client can offer a basic starting salary up to £30,000 per annum based on knowledge and experience of the industry.

The role itself is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the business payroll to its clients along with any payroll related administrative functions with the key responsibilities being but not limited to –

* Manage the daily activities of the payroll support

* Ensure accurate and timely processing of new client setups and data updates

* Understanding of agency payroll to accurately process the payroll by the correct payment method

* Process agency imports in accordance with correct payment dates and terms

* Work with and provide support to the other payroll team members

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation

* Produce payroll reports for the division manager

* Quickly resolve any payroll queries across areas like PAYE, tax, and compliance

* Basic book keeping and accounting tasks

* Input all timesheets received from the agency in time for the daily payroll run

* HMRC queries and liaison within standard payroll duties

* Ensuring all invoices in the sales ledger are paid by the agency in accordance with
their terms

* Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries in assisting the customer service team to provide a high-end professional service to the clients

* Ensure that confidentiality and security of payroll information is maintained

* Reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Experience required for the role:

* Previous full cycle UK payroll process experience

* Accounts management experience

* Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel

* Invoice management with accuracy

* Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and time management skills

* Have recently worked in a similar role within the last two years
