About the role:
Astute's Renewables team is partnering with an impressive business and a key company driving the UK towards our net zero targets. They own a portfolio of renewable energy assets and we're looking for a Plant Operator / Site Operator / Plant Technician to join an anaerobic digestion plant in Dungannon, who process waste to generate renewable gas.

This Plant Operator / Site Operator / Plant Operative comes with a salary of £26,500, rising post probation to over £28,000 and with an impressive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Site Manager you will:
Operate the renewable energy asset, with training provided for those newer to the sector
Perform routine checks of the asset and logging these findings
Carry out basic, first line maintenance activities, like greasing and cleaning of the equipment
Looking for continuous improvement opportunities on site
Testing the biology of the plant to optimise gas yield
Assist any contractors on site carrying our key work
Learning more and more about the process and running the plant from a SCADA system (training can be provided)
Weighing lorries in and logging data from weighbridge
Keeping the site clean and tidy
Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
A telehandler licence is preferred but not essential
A NVQ 2 or above in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred but not essential

Personal skills:
The Plant Operator (Nights) role would suit someone who is/has:
A genuine interest in agriculture, process plants and in being hands on
Someone who is very happy to work outside
Someone who is comfortable around potentially smelly waste at times

£26,500 salary
