Toro Recruitment is partnered with a leading Utility company seeking a skilled and qualified Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team. If you possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and have hands-on experience working with NEC contracts, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring optimal cost control and value for money. Your expertise in Quantity Surveying, coupled with your experience in working on NEC contracts, will be instrumental in driving accurate cost forecasting, managing variations, and assessing the financial viability of projects. You will collaborate closely with our project teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints while maintaining exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct detailed cost analysis, including estimates, forecasts, and budgets for projects within the Utilities industry.

* Manage the procurement process, ensuring compliance with NEC contracts and industry standards.

* Evaluate and negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations, minimising financial risks.

* Monitor project expenditure and provide regular reports on cost performance.

* Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.

* Conduct thorough cost audits and produce accurate financial reports.

* Assess and mitigate risks associated with project costs and contractual obligations.

* Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to Quantity Surveying and NEC contracts.

Requirements:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.

* Proven experience working with NEC contracts in the Utilities industry.

* Project value range between £100k to £20m

* Strong understanding of cost management principles, contract law, and procurement processes.

* Proficient in cost estimating, financial analysis, and budget management.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.

* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

* Proficient in relevant software and tools used in Quantity Surveying.

What's in it for you:

* Starting salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

* Company car or car allowance of £450 pcm

* Hybrid working (3 days in the office & 2 days from home)

* Monday to Friday 40hrs per week
