Risk & Controls Specialist - Markets (RCSA)

A Leading Financial Services firm are looking to hire an experienced Senior Risk and Control Specialist - who will be required to assist with delivery of Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) Transformation for the Markets area of the Business.

• £650 -£800 a day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
• The role is an initial 9 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
• Hybrid - Based in London (3 days a week in the office/2 days a week at home)

Assist with delivery of Markets Transformation programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing risk and control assessments for key Front-to-Back processes in Markets.
• Working with key stakeholders to understand risks and key controls across Markets Businesses.
• Working with key stakeholders to review inherent risk assessments for key risks across Markets.
• Supporting population of key controls database, including recording best practice control descriptions.
• Driving high quality execution of transformation deliverables to demanding timelines.
• Working collaboratively across the Markets RCSA Team to effectively manage complex dependencies.
• Providing timely, impactful updates on progress and escalation of significant risks and delivery barriers.

Key Skills

• 8+ years of Markets Front Office and/or Operations risk and control experience.
• Understanding of operational risk management frameworks and/or risk and control assessments.
• Strong understanding of Markets Front Office and/or Operations key processes, risks and controls.
• Proven ability to execute large complex books of work to high standards and demanding timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to delivery right-first-time outcomes at pace.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to apply business understanding to developing robust risk and control assessments.
• May have Markets-focused experience in Internal Audit, Front Office Control, or Operational Risk
