Automation Engineer

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

The Automation Engineer will work with Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization teams to deliver tailored software and hardware solutions for customers.

This role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, software updates, and ensuring equipment meets customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

Customize crane controls using existing software modules.

Support factory acceptance, commissioning, and lifecycle of material handling equipment.

Modify PLC software to meet customer needs.

Monitor and develop replacements for obsolete automation equipment.

Resolve control/software issues by collaborating with engineers and service technicians.

Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):

1. Do you have a Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.

2. Do you have previous experience working in the Manufacturing Industry

3. Do you have previous experience working with Siemens PLC and HMI programming experience.

4. Do you have previous experience as an Automation Engineer

5. Do you have knowledge of variable frequency drives and control systems for material handling devices.

6. Are you familiar with NEC electrical code and OSHA safety requirements.

7. Are you willing travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

8. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
