Land Surveyor Crew Chief position
Responsibilities for this position include:
Perform field work on surveying, civil engineering, and construction projects, including topographic, ALTA, boundary, Right of Way and As-builts, Flood Elevation Certificates, and Lot Surveys
Maintenance and care of vehicles, equipment, and instruments used during the execution of survey services
Follow company CAD procedures and standards
Maintain schedules
Utilize CAD commands
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Professional Surveyor preferred or the ability to obtain license.
2+ years of experience in AutoCAD, and/or Civil3D experience a plus / not required
Must have 5-10 years of experience with a variety of survey-related tasks, including legal descriptions; calculation and recording of field data; creating plats, plot plans and real property surveys; and construction staking
GPS and robotic experience preferred
Must be detail oriented and able to work unsupervised
Must be able to work with clients representatives in the field and have the ability to supervise others
Must be able to draw representative sketches and take clear and concise notes
CAD/computer knowledge (AutoCAD Civil 3D) preferred
Working and Physical Requirements:
Able to work approximately Monday through Friday 8 a.m. 5 p.m., 90% of the time in the field with 10% in the office.
When working outside, ability to stand for long periods, walk over all types of terrain while carrying equipment up to 50 pounds.
Outside working conditions will involve different types of weather including heat, cold, wet & dry/dusty.
This position could require work outside of these hours.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000.
