Our client, a small to medium sized engineering company have an immediate requirement to recruit 2 well versed Electro-Platers.

The purpose of the role is to undertake chemical surface treatments in accordance with customer requirements, specifications and relevant work instructions.

Responsibilities

* Assume responsibility for ‘Chemical Surface Treatments’

* Assume responsibility for ‘Jigging, wiring parts in preparation of Surface Treatments’

* Assume responsibility for ‘Cleaning and maintaining Treatments Solutions and Equipment’

Key Tasks

* Undertake daily checks and complete logs accordingly

* Maintain a clean work area, equipment and plant, at commencement and throughout shift.

* Review all documentation within Job Packs (route cards, drawings etc.) prior to commencing treatments

* Review route card and ensure completion for prior operations before commencing work on any job – return to previous operation/s if not completed

* Handle, jig-wire all jobs appropriately to avoid damage at any stage of processing

* Inspect jobs prior to commencing work to ensure all necessary preparation has been undertaken correctly

* Jig and wire work for treatments to ensure avoidance of damage, burns air traps etc.

* Carry out all in process inspections in accordance with Work Instructions.

* Inspect all jobs once processed to ensure satisfactory finish

* Complete all necessary paperwork, records and logs relevant to the jobs, including recording all processes on AeroDNA.

* Undertake all necessary solutions samples and supply to laboratory for analysis

* Review solution additions, make additions as per analysis results and complete paperwork accordingly

* Report any and all concerns regarding plant, equipment or solutions to your Line Manager.

* Assist in other areas of the business when not undertaking main treatments activities

* Undertake all other reasonable requests from Management

This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work 07:45 - 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 - 13:00 on a Friday.

In return you can expect an hourly rate of £13 - £14.50 per hour dependant on experience.

With the business growing, it is likely that they will introduce an early / late shift pattern (Monday to Friday). If/when this happens, you will get an additional 15% shift allowance.
