Join with a successful building services consultant and contractor that undertake design, installation and commissioning of building services with a specialism in the healthcare sector. They are also experienced in low carbon engineering solutions and renewable technologies, which is becoming an ever-increasing part of their work as the industry changes to focus on sustainability and reducing its impact on climate change. This is an exciting opportunity for any individual with an interest in the industry and a great way to make a positive impact on the environment as Building Services Design Engineer. Each graduate will gain skills in all of these disciplines during their training as they spend time within our in-house departments. You should be well-mannered, motivated, hardworking and able to take direction. The right applicant will form part of a close working team and will be offered the opportunity to develop new skills and progress their career. The role will be predominantly office based but on-site experience shall be provided to further your knowledge and ensure you have a well-rounded understanding within the field.

Key aspects on which you will work include;

Produce detailed mechanical/electrical designs
Support the Design/Engineering Team to ensure project deliverables are achieved
Undertake calculations in accordance with the latest British Standards
Make steps to minimise expenses and non-chargeable costs
Communicate design solutions to internal stake holders and external customers
Participate in effective presentations to external organisations, clients and peer groups
Manage task duration to ensure deadlines are met
Assist the lead engineers in collating and disseminating project information through the project team
Use software such as AutoCAD, TAS, MEPWorxs, Dialux and Revit
Develop understanding of MEP Systems, making sure the design fully aligns with the requirements of CDM regulationsRequirements

Building Services Engineering degree - equivalent within a relevant subject
CAD Experience
Engineering design knowledge
