Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for groundworks and civil engineering projects
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing
Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure timely deliveries to meet project schedules
Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines
Collaborate closely with the project and site teams to forecast material needs and prevent supply delays
Work with the commercial team to ensure procurement aligns with project budgets
Monitor stock levels and manage reorders, ensuring waste is minimised and resources are optimised
Stay up-to-date with market trends and new products in the civil engineering and construction sectorsKey Requirements:

Proven experience as a Buyer in the groundworks or residential groundworks sector
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficiency in using procurement software and systems
