This is for a main contractor that turn over circa £15m.
They are looking for a driven surveyor with high ambitions to progress and develop in a supporting environment.
Great culture, supply chain and retention rates.
Flat layer management in the business and quick decisions are made based on common sense.
Contracts range from £250k - £3m typically and work is across the country.
The Role
The primary focus will be to support on the commercial responsibilty of all projects. The role will involve the management of all project costs and value, reporting on projects to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the day to day support to the commercial and operational teams
- Additional responsibilities will include:
* Accountability for maintaining profitability and positive cash position whilst developing and maintaining team relationships.
* Procurement on a number of contracts.
* Provide commercial support to commercial manager on a range of projects.
* Monitoring each stage of construction for secured projects to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts
* Reporting on the cost status of each job as part of projects CVR's
* Placing subcontractor and suppliers orders
* Cost control of invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
* Preparation of monthly applications and final accounts , recording and processing of variations and early warning notices.
